Access Level 1
Designing and editing a database structure, inputting the records into computer. Some computer experience is necessary for this course

Prerequisite: Intro and Intermediate Access. Learn advanced sub forms, advanced customizing of reports, integration with Word and Excel.

Adobe Illustrator
Industry standard illustration program for print, multimedia, and online graphics. Offers you the tools you need to get professional quality results.

Adobe Photoshop Elements
Complete introduction to photo editing. Navigation of PhotoShop, menus and toolbars to simplify your work. Explore the tools in PhotoShop to edit, enhance and restore photos. Use the organizer features to organize, store and save your pictures.

Adobe Premiere Elements
Intro to using Adobe’s video editing software. Learn to Capture, Edit, and Insert multiple tracks for special effects and more.

Business Writing Basics
Sharpen your written communication skills by learning easy self-editing techniques. Participants must bring writing samples of the own composition (Memos, letters, minutes etc.) in order to get the full benefit of the class.

Business Presentation Skills
Participants who complete this class will be able to plan, develop and create an effective presentation with MS PowerPoint, recognize and address fears involved in presenting, analyze their audience and much more.

Cascading Styles (CSS)
This class will show how to change a web page using only HTML into one that uses cascading styles with HTML.

Create a Keyword Resume
Many employers use automated tracking systems where a computer matches words on your resume with the job requirements that they need. Prepare your resume using keywords so that you’re screened –in and not out of the job market.

Learn the basics of editing your digital photos with the free software from Picasa.

Create an extra email account using Yahoo or Gmail. Learn to create filters and special folders, send and receive attachments; use the calendar features and more

Excel Level 1
Learn the basics of this popular spreadsheet software. Creating and editing a simple workbook, how to work with toolbars, menus and formulas.

Excel Level 2
Prerequisite: Excel 1. Learn to work with graphics, templates, multiple sheet workbooks and lookup function.

Excel Level 3
Prerequisite: Excel 1 & 2 Learn Macros, shortcuts, toolbars, filtering, styles, outlines and much more.

File Management in Windows XP
Learn how to create and manage folder in My Documents and My Computer; back up files to a flash drive or another hard drive. We will also cover the use of Windows Explorer for managing files.

This class walks students though the basics of the Internet, including how to do a basic search, using Portals, Internet safety, how to do research, read online newspapers and more

This class teaches students how to do a thorough Internet search, and provides many tips and tricks that you will find invaluable. Plenty of simple but practical exercises will help you remember what you learn.

Internet Job Search
Create an email account for job searches. You will learn how to fill out forms online. Learn to copy & past your resume to a job site and attach your resume to an email. Spend time actually searching for a job with an instructor there to answer any questions you may have.

Internet Security
This course will provide students with the knowledge of what takes place when surfing the Internet. Class discussions will include information security, major threats, and preventive software.

This course provides students with the basic understanding of wireless or Wi-Fi networks. Topics of discussion will be the 802.11 protocol, design concepts, and security. Upon completion of the course, students will possess the skills necessary to install and maintain their own Wi-Fi network.

Do you want to create a holiday, graduation, ore special occasion PowerPoint? Let us show you some ideas. If you have photos that you want to use, Please make sure that you can access them electronically. A travel drive will allow you to bring you work home, and is required for class.

Using Your Laptop
Battery conservation, sleep and hibernate mode will be covered along available settings to enhance your system. The set up peripherals as USB docks, external hard drives, and an over head projection system will be demonstrated. Bring your laptop with you and an extension cord.

All ‘For Seniors’ Classes cover the same material as their standard format, however move at a slightly slower pace to allow maximum learning potential.
